Red Heifer Redo 3 - Clean until Even
1) Unclean until even
Genesis 1:5 And God called the light Day, and the darkness he called Night. And
the evening and the morning were the first day.
Genesis 8:11 And the dove came in to him in the evening; and, lo, in her mouth
was an olive leaf pluckt off: so Noah knew that the waters were abated from off
the earth.
Ex 16:13-14 ¶ And it came to pass, that at even the quails came up, and covered
the camp: and in the morning the dew lay round about the host. And when the dew
that lay was gone up, behold, upon the face of the wilderness there lay a small
round thing, as small as the hoar frost on the ground.
Ex 27:21 In the tabernacle of the congregation without the vail, which is before
the testimony, Aaron and his sons shall order it from evening to morning before
the LORD: it shall be a statute for ever unto their generations on the behalf of
the children of Israel.
Exodus 12 - The Passover
Ex 12:6 And ye shall keep it up until the fourteenth day of the same month: and
the whole assembly of the congregation of Israel shall kill it in the evening.
Ex 12:8 And they shall eat the flesh in that night, roast with fire, and
unleavened bread; and with bitter herbs they shall eat it.
Ex 12:10 And ye shall let nothing of it remain until the morning; and that which
remaineth of it until the morning ye shall burn with fire.
Ex 12:29 ¶ And it came to pass, that at midnight the LORD smote all the
firstborn in the land of Egypt, from the firstborn of Pharaoh that sat on his
throne unto the firstborn of the captive that was in the dungeon; and all the
firstborn of cattle
Deuteronomy 16:6-7 But at the place which the LORD thy God shall choose to place
his name in, there thou shalt sacrifice the passover at even, at the going down
of the sun, at the season that thou camest forth out of Egypt. And thou shalt
roast and eat it in the place which the LORD thy God shall choose: and thou
shalt turn in the morning, and go unto thy tents..

even - start the day within
the camp.
Joseph of Arimathaea went to claim the body of Jesus when even had come.
When one was unclean they could not enter the camp of the congregation. When
clean at even the judgment of God was abated and they could begin the day clean
and among the people. At even those cleansed with ashes of the red heifer,
cedar, hyssop scarlet and running water could be in a clean tent and look to the
day of rejoining the camp of the congregation.
Question What other ceremony were cedar, hyssop, scarlet, running water, along
with a sacrifice seen?

Leviticus 13 & 14 being healed and cleansed form sin, The red heifer those once
cleansed form sin being kept pure in a sinful world.
