The Operation Of God

Colossians 2:12 Buried with him in baptism, wherein also ye are risen with him through the faith of the operation of God, who hath raised him from the dead.

We are saved by grace through faith in the operation of God.

Our Salvation: The Operation Of God

·        Galatians 4:4 There was a specific time set by God for Christ to be born

·        Romans 5:6 There was a specific time set by God for Christ to die

·        1Corinthians 15:4 There was a specific time set by God for Christ to raise from the dead in the scriptures

·        The operation of God: Galatians 3:13-14 Christ was made a curse for us to redeem us from the curse of the law we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith.

·        The operation of God:  2Corinthians 5:20-21 Now we are reconciled to God and ambassadors for Christ, because we have been made the righteousness of God in Christ because Christ was made to be sin for us.

·        Christ being made to be sin, being made to be a curse, His death, burial, and resurrection was the operation of God designed to save much people alive.

·        Our salvation, our resurrection is the operation of God.

The restoration of Israel is the operation of God.

·        Jeremiah 33:15 In those days, and at that time, will I cause the Branch of righteousness to grow up unto David; and he shall execute judgment and righteousness in the land.

·        Jeremiah 50:4 In those days, and in that time, saith the LORD, the children of Israel shall come, they and the children of Judah together, going and weeping: they shall go, and seek the LORD their God.

·        Jeremiah 50:20 In those days, and in that time, saith the LORD, the iniquity of Israel shall be sought for, and there shall be none; and the sins of Judah, and they shall not be found: for I will pardon them whom I reserve.

Revelation 13:8; The operation of God began long before Genesis 1:1 and the cross.

Romans 4:3 with  Heb 11:39-40 Accounting righteousness unto the Old Testament saints (the operation of God), BUT, while they received a good report they did not receive the promise of being made perfect and will not receive this promise without us.

(their resurrected bodies)

Isaiah 45:21, 46:9-10 God has declared the end from the beginning (in His word)

Only He could do this. It seems to God the future has already happened. .

Isaiah 55:11 with Romans 9:6 The operation of God: The effectiveness His word.

·        God’s word has accomplished in the past and will accomplish in the future exactly what He intended.

·        Nothing has ever happened that has taken God by surprise; this is also true about the future. He knows the end from the beginning.

·        Our salvation is the operation of God, He has declared it

·        Romans 15:4 For whatsoever things were written aforetime were written for our learning, that we through patience and comfort of the scriptures might have hope.

·        2Corinthians 1:7; Titus 1:2, 2:13, 3:7 Our hope and consolation is the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ and our eternal life promised before the world began;

·        Hope is earnest expectation or knowing. We know Christ is going to return so we can know we have eternal life.

·        Hebrews 6:17-20 Our hope is anchored in the immutability of God (unchangeableness). God has promised our salvation and we have the man Jesus Christ, our high priest and our intercessor.

·        The oath confirming His promises seen in Hebrews 6:17 was sworn by God Himself. Isaiah 45:23

Isaiah 45:21-24; Philippians 2:1 What has God sworn? That unto Him every knee shall bow, every tongue shall swear that Jesus Christ is Lord..

*Some will say in the LORD have I righteousness and strength (we who are saved)

*Some will be incensed when they are forced to bow and will be ashamed. (the wicked)

·        Psalm 28:1-5 Said of the wicked: Because they regard not the works of the LORD, nor the operation of his hands they will go down into the pit and be as a desert and receive according to their deeds and the wickedness.

·        Isaiah 5:12-13 Said of Israel: they went into the 70 years of captivity by Babylon and became as a desert because they regarded not the work of the LORD, neither considered the operation of his hands.

Consider more of the operation of God and the operation of his hands.

What about those who deny creation, the operation of his hands?

In the 1960’s there was an attempt by some “Christians” to explain creation through a marriage of creation and evolution. They taught God started everything with a big bang and then set back and watched to see what would happen. But the word of God makes it clear that this earth and all that is upon it is a direct operation of God

·        Genesis 1:1 God created

·        Genesis 1 the phrase “And God said, let” is seen eight times

Why is God no respecter of persons? Job 34:19 How much less to him that accepteth not the persons of princes, nor regardeth the rich more than the poor? for they all are the work of his hands.

Genesis 18:14 Is any thing too hard for the LORD? At the time appointed I will return unto thee, according to the time of life, and Sarah shall have a son.

Esther 4:14 For if thou altogether holdest thy peace at this time, then shall there enlargement and deliverance arise to the Jews from another place; but thou and thy father's house shall be destroyed: and who knoweth whether thou art come to the kingdom for such a time as this?
