HOLINESS TO THE LORD Part 3

Malachi 2:11 for Judah hath profaned the holiness of the LORD (worshipped the devils).

Isaiah 3:16-17 ¶ Moreover the LORD saith, Because the daughters of Zion are haughty, and walk with stretched forth necks and wanton eyes, walking and mincing as they go, and making a tinkling with their feet:

·        The sound reserved to bring into remembrance the LORD’s holiness was being used by the daughters of Zion to say look at us. Could the tinkling of their feet have caused the people to ignore the sound of the bells on the robe of the high priest?

·        “Romans 10:3 For they being ignorant of God's righteousness, and going about to establish their own righteousness, have not submitted themselves unto the righteousness of God.” They have forgotten His holiness.

Isaiah 3:17-26 17 Therefore the Lord will smite with a scab the crown of the head of the daughters of Zion, and the LORD will discover their secret parts.

Isaiah 47:2-3 The shame of Israel will be uncovered before the kingdoms of the earth. The LORD said, "I will not meet thee as a man". He will meet them as the LORD God Almighty, their maker and redeemer.

Nahum 3:5 Behold, I am against thee, saith the LORD of hosts; and I will discover thy skirts upon thy face, and I will shew the nations thy nakedness, and the kingdoms thy shame.

·        Today the shame of nakedness has been forgotten. [Could this be tied to the worlds view of God's Holiness?

·        Since the sin of Adam nakedness was tied to sin. The sin of Adam and Eve was covered by the skins of animals.

·        Psalm 4:1-4; 33:8  Because Israel no longed stood in awe of the  LORD’s holiness and righteousness they no longed feared the LORD. Therefore He will uncover their sin before the Gentile nations.

Zechariah 14:20 In that day shall there be upon the bells of the horses, HOLINESS UNTO THE LORD; and the pots in the LORD'S house shall be like the bowls before the altar.

·        The sound of the bells will bring into remembrance HIS HOLINESS.

·        Revelation 19:14 And the armies which were in heaven followed him upon white horses, clothed in fine linen, white and clean.

In Zechariah 14:20 and Revelation 19:14 horses will carry HOLINESS TO THE LORD, the KING OF KINGS, AND LORD OF LORDS (Rev 19:16) as He returns and Israel will once again remember His holiness. The use of horses bring them to remember His Holiness does not seen to agree with Deuteronomy 17:16 and Isaiah 31:1 where kings of Israel were told not multiply horses to them selves because they would rely on the horses and not look Holy One of Israel (Study Solomon), When hoarded by Israel, reliance upon horses replaced their reliance upon the LORD as their protector.

Consider These verses

Isaiah 23:15-18 (15) In that day Tyre's merchandise and her hire shall be holiness to the LORD because : it shall be for them that dwell before the LORD, to eat sufficiently, and for durable clothing (V15:In that Day Tyre)

Zechariah 14:20-21 In that day .  .  .the pots in the LORD'S house shall be like the bowls before the altar. (21) Yea, every pot in Jerusalem and in Judah shall be holiness unto the LORD of hosts: and all they that sacrifice shall come and take of them, and seethe therein: and in that day there shall be no more the Canaanite in the house of the LORD of hosts.

Things the LORD once rejected will become Holiness to Him. Why?

·        In That Day makes the difference.

·        In That Day “the secular becomes sacred” (From Pastor Altar's last message on Zechariah).

That day will bring into remembrance HIS HOLINESS.

Our reasonable service [Romans 12:1-2]

Romans 8:29 We are to live as we are conformed to the image Jesus Christ

1Peter 2:5, 9 Because we are lively stones, a spiritual house, an holy priesthood ,we are to offer up spiritual sacrifices by Jesus Christ.

·        The sacrifice of praise [Hebrews 13:15-16]. Our sacrifice of praise is praise that is to be shown forth.

·        1Peter 1:15-16 makes it plain we are to be holy as Jesus Christ is holy

·        Hebrews 12:14 Follow peace with all men, and holiness, without which no man shall see the Lord:

Phi1ippeans 2:14-18 Our praise is to be seen outside the walls of our church with joyfulness. Why when Christ returns for His church we will truly see him as Hebrews 2:9 says. “But we see Jesus, who was made a little lower than the angels for the suffering of death, crowned with glory and honour; that he by the grace of God should taste death for every man.”

Remember the holy crown, HOLINESS TO TH LORD. And Psalms 30:4 and 97:12

Today we are to be the sound of the bells that brings HIS holiness into remembrance to a crooked and perverse nation.

That is our reasonable service

Question: Do you, do I, rejoice and give thanks at the remembrance of His holiness?

Is a more appropriate question “Do we consider His holiness?”
