From Last lesson: Walking after the Spirit is being led by the Spirit.
The inner man of all Christians are in the Spirit. All Christians are the sons of God. (V8:9 with John 1:12).
V8:14 Only those who are called the sons of God are led by the Spirit. The Spirit leads all the son of God. But not all sons of God walk after the Spirit. Walking after the Spirit is submission to the Spirit's leading.
V8;15 Note the s in the spirit of bondage the S in Spirit of adoption.
The s is the spirit of the flesh. Spirit is the Holy Spirit of promise
that indwells the believer at the instance of salvation and baptizes or completely immerses him in Christ and the family of God.
We no longer fear God as an enemy but call Him my God and my Father; Abba, Father.
· 2Timothy 1:7 For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.
V16 Comments on the spirit of bondage again to fear.
· The spirit that says to our heart and our spirit, "There's no way the Lord God Almighty would call the likes of you, son."
· The Spirit of adoption says to our spirit and our heart, "Do not fear, I placed you into the family of God." 1John 3:20
· 1Co 2:12 Heb 2:15 Why the fear of not being the sons of God, why fear as the unsaved do Romans 1:32a sinners deserve death
V17-18 Joint-heirs not only of His glory but his also His suffering
· 1John 3:2 Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is.
· John 17:5 And now, O Father, glorify thou me with thine own self with the glory which I had with thee before the world was.
· V29-30 God predestined all who would be saved would be conformed to the image of Jesus Christ. All saved are justified and are glorified. So many through Christ can be born again.
· Philippians 1:29 For unto you it is given in the behalf of Christ, not only to believe on him, but also to suffer for his sake;
· Mark 14:36 We are joint heirs with Christ to his suffering, his glory, and joint heirs to the crying of Abba Father.
V19-22 The sin of man brought about changes in all of God's creation
The curse of the ground after the flood the fear of man came upon the animals. The creature waiting for the time when the sons of God - (Us!) - to be clearly seen (Returning with Jesus as the Christ for his thousand reign. Hope: earnest expectation

V23-25 The firstfruits of the Spirit; the first and the best the Spirit has to offer, 1Corinthians 1:30 Romans 3:2
· The inner man groans within us waiting for the redemption of the outer man of flesh. That is our hope or earnest expectation.

V26-27 ¶ The help of the Spirit's grownings.
· V27a And he that searcheth the hearts
· Psalm 7:9; Proverbs 17:3;
· He that searches our heart is ________
· Psalm 139:23-24; Psalm 119:154
· If David had confidence in the outcome God's search of his heart; how much more confidence should we have in God's mercy and grace knowing the Holy Spirit is pleading our cause in a way David had no knowledge of.
· The mind of the Spirit, within us, is focused on us and God knows what the Spirit has on His mind.
· 1John 3:20 ¶ For if our heart condemn us, God is greater than our heart, and knoweth all things.
· Paul stated what he wanted to do he didn't and what he didn't want to do he did it anyway. Galatians 5:17
· Psalm 78:39 God knows man is but flesh. The Holy Spirit intercedes for His sons with groanings that only the Father can comprehend.

· Galatians 4:5-6 When we just can't get the words out the Holy Spirit in is us crying Abba Father for us! Presenting what we need to be praying, the way we should be praying it.

All the things listed in verses 38 -39 that the world will use in it's attempt condemn, charge to separate from the love of God (35)
tribulation, distress, persecution, famine, nakedness, peril (V36), sword, death, life, angels, principalities, powers, things present, things to come, height, depth, any other creature The spirit of bondage again to fear (15) the evil that always present (7:21; John 17:15)
2Timothy 1:12 For the which cause I also suffer these things: nevertheless I am not ashamed: for I know whom I have believed, and am persuaded that he is able to keep that which I have committed unto him against that day.
