Romans Lesson 2: 1:2-4
Romans 1:2 is parenthesis between the gospel of V1 that Paul was separated unto and the Son of God spoken of in Vs3-4. Salvation was promised by the prophets before the birth of Christ in their inspired writings, holy scripture. The gospel was promised in Old Testament scripture, coming through the servant of God (Isaiah 52:13)

Of the increase of his government and peace there shall be no end, upon the throne of David, and upon his kingdom, to order it, and to establish it with judgment and with justice from henceforth even for ever. The zeal of the LORD of hosts will perform this.

The death, burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ is seen in the Old Testament scriptures. The hope of our resurrection is sure because of Old Testament scriptures as well.
And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory. 1Timothy 3:16 This verse contains the foundational teaching of the local church: the mystery of godliness. The scriptures leaves no room for debate on who Jesus Christ is.
Romans 1:3-4 Concerning his Son Jesus Christ our Lord (the mystery of godliness)
made of the seed of David according to the flesh (God was manifested in the flesh)
declared to be the Son of God with power
according to the spirit of holiness (justified in the spirit)
resurrection from the dead proved Jesus Christ was and is, and always be God. Romans 4:25 Who was delivered for our offences, and was raised again for our justification.
See John 1:18
Notice the two words, made and declared. The scriptures do not claim the deity of Jesus Christ they declare His deity. The word of God does not debate who Christ Jesus is. There should be no debate in the churches. Paul does not debate this fact.
1Peter1:21 Who by him do believe in God, that raised him up from the dead, and gave him glory; that your faith and hope might be in God.

raised unto Israel a Saviour, Jesus:
John 1:18 No man hath seen God at any time; the only begotten Son, which is in the bosom of the Father, he hath declared him.
Luke 24:46 And said unto them, Thus it is written, and thus it behoved Christ to suffer, and to rise from the dead the third day:
