The Paul’s Mysteries for the Church Part 3

1Cor 2:6-7 But we speak the wisdom of God in a mystery, even the hidden wisdom, which God ordained before the world unto our glory.

·       There is wisdom of God that has been revealed for all to know. Gen 1, The Ten Commandments, Proverbs,

·       Romans 1:19-20; John 1:9

There was a wisdom God ordained before the world unto our glory

·       1Co 1:24 But unto them which are called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ the power of God, and the wisdom of God.

·       Eph 4-5 the mystery of Christ

***Eph 3:10 To the intent that now unto the principalities and powers in heavenly places might be known by the church the manifold wisdom of God, [Hidden, clear]

1Cor 2:9 reveals the hidden wisdom of God of V7; the things which God hath prepared for them that love him.

·       Ro 8:18 For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us. Rom 8:29-30 ¶ For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren. 30 Moreover whom he did predestinate, them he also called: and whom he called, them he also justified: and whom he justified, them he also glorified. [1John 3:2]

·       Eph 1:3 ¶ Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ:

·       Jude 1:24 Now unto him that is able to keep you from falling, and to present you faultless before the presence of his glory with exceeding joy

·       Romans 6:22 Everlasting life through Jesus Christ, the Son of God. 1John 5:20

Eph 6:19 the mystery of the gospel, explains how we gain those things prepared for us. [Obedience of faith and of the gospel]

·       Eph 1:13 In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise,

·       Col 1:5-6 For the hope which is laid up for you in heaven, whereof ye heard before in the word of the truth of the gospel; 6 Which is come unto you, as it is in all the world; and bringeth forth fruit, as it doth also in you, since the day ye heard of it, and knew the grace of God in truth:

Why did God before the foundation of the world ordain all that we have in and through His Son?

Eph 1:7-9 Having made known unto us the mystery of his will, according to his good pleasure which he hath purposed in himself:

·       Eph 1:5-6 Having predestinated us unto the adoption of children by Jesus Christ to himself, according to the good pleasure of his will, 6 To the praise of the glory of his grace, wherein he hath made us accepted in the beloved. [Rom 1:7]

·       Php 2:13 For it is God which worketh in you both to will and to do of his good pleasure.

·       2Th 1:11 ¶ Wherefore also we pray always for you, that our God would count you worthy of this calling, and fulfil all the good pleasure of his goodness, and the work of faith with power: 12 That the name of our Lord Jesus Christ may be glorified in you, and ye in him, according to the grace of our God and the Lord Jesus Christ.

·       Eph 1:11-12 In whom also we have obtained an inheritance, being predestinated according to the purpose of him who worketh all things after the counsel of his own will: 12 That we should be to the praise of his glory, who first trusted in Christ.

·        1Tim 2:4 Who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth. [2Pet 3:9]

Eph 5:32 The great mystery: The institution of marriage the picture of  Christ and His church..

·       Gen 2:24 Therefore [because the Woman was taken out of the Man] shall a man leave his father and his mother, and shall cleave unto his wife: and they shall be one flesh.

·       Eph 5:31 For this cause shall a man leave his father and mother, and shall be joined unto his wife, and they two shall be one flesh.

·       The cause: Eph 5:30 For we are members of his body, of his flesh, and of his bones.

Ø    1Co 12:27Now ye are the body of Christ, and members in particular.

v   The mystery: The picture of the marriage between the Man and the Woman [Gen 2:24] and a marriage between a man and a women is the picture painted by God for the world to see the relationship between Christ and his body, the church.

v   This is not a parable; we are literally the body of Christ.  We are joined with His body at salvation.

·       Ro 7:4 Wherefore, my brethren, ye also are become dead to the law by the body of Christ; that ye should be married to another, even to him who is raised from the dead, that we should bring forth fruit unto God.
