In the ceremony showing the one healed from leprosy was clean indeed there were three lambs. One of which was a female (ewe) lamb. Showing in this ceremony a new life was on the way. As the ewe lamb had the ability to give life, The Lamb Of God  eternal life to all that will come to Him for salvation.

Matthewe 23:37 O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, thou that killest the prophets, and stonest them which are sent unto thee, how often would I have gathered thy children together, even as a hen gathereth her chickens under her wings, and ye would not!

There have many times throughout the Israel's history when Their LORD offered them a new beginning

The Passover - a new life was offered to a people covered with the filthy rags of leprosy from living in Egypt.

The parting of the Red Sea - a new life was offered to a people covered by the leprosy of unbelief, thinking their God wasn't greater than the army of Egypt

The water from the rock - a new life of faith offered to a people covered by the leprosy of doubt

The ten commandments & Law - offering a new life of obedience to a people covered by the filthy rags leprosy their own righteousnesses

The after golden calf - a new life offer to a people covered in the leprosy of idolatry

The edge of the promised land - new life offer through the ashes of the red heifer a young generation to keep them clean from the leprosy of the older generation who wanted Egypt instead of God's promised land

The Crossing of Jordan - a new life of prosperity in the promised land offered to a people covered by the leprosy of disobedience

The judges - new life offered to a people covered by the leprosy of their own desires and forsaking their LORD

The reigns of David and Solomon - a life of wealth and peace offered to a people covered  the leprosy self pleasure

The reign of Cyrus, king of Persia (delivered the Jews from the 70yrs. of  Babylonian captivity) - a new life offered with a rebuilt temple and walls of Jerusalem to a people covered in the leprosy of  contending with their Maker over how He delivered them from Babylon

Jesus Christ - the offer of eternal life to a people covered with the leprosy of legalism

35 And he that owneth the house shall come and tell the priest, saying, It seemeth to me there is as it were a plague in the house:

Proverbs 3:33 The curse of the LORD is in the house of the wicked: but he blesseth the habitation of the just.

Israel's history after Solomon the nation is split into the northern 10 tribes (Israel), the Southern Kingdom (Judah: Tribes of Judah, Benjamin and Levi)

The Northern kingdom was away from Jerusalem and fell into captivity before Judah. During the years before Judah fell into captivity the priest had polluted the temple by allowing then lame, sick and blemished sacrifices to be offered. Both kingdoms fell into captivity. The walls and houses in Jerusalem were torn down, the temple was destroyed. The complete house of Israel was scattered and sold into slavery by the Babylonians many sold back to Egypt (where they always wanted to go back to) and many starve & die of sickness. Cyrus king of Persia conquers Babylon brings the Jews out of slavery and replaces them with the Chaldeans. The temple and Jerusalem are rebuilt. The House of Israel are allowed to return to Jerusalem and before the House Of The LORD. The House of Jacob turns away from the LORD and the city and temple become "a den of thieves". Jesus Christ comes and offers the House of Israel new life through His taking upon Himself the leprosy of their sin. He is rejected before He is crucified and after He is raised from the dead.  Again the city is plundered, the temple is destroyed and the people scattered. The past and present condition od the House of Israel and the LORD's house.

The individual tribes of houses withinh The House Of Israel.

When they entered Egypt Israel had 12 sons or twelve tribes. When they left Egypt Joseph was replaced by his two sons (Manasseh & Ephraim) making 13 tribes.

In Revelation 7 Dan and Ephraim do not gave a part in the 144,000 -

Ge 49:16 Dan shall judge his people, as one of the tribes of Israel.
17 Dan shall be a serpent by the way, an adder in the path, that biteth the horse heels, so that his rider shall fall backward.

Am 8:14 They that swear by the sin of Samaria, and say, Thy god, O Dan, liveth; and, The manner of Beersheba liveth; even they shall fall, and never rise up again.

Dan became deeply engrossed in idolatry

In Ephraim was instrumental on the breakup of the nation after Solomon. There seems to be a jealousy over Judah being where the capitol was, their portion was in the heart of the land. Mount Ephraim was the site of the capital of the Northern Kingdom in direct defiance of The LORD

Hosea 12:14 Ephraim provoked him to anger most bitterly: therefore shall he leave his blood upon him, and his reproach shall his Lord return unto him.

Jeremiah 7 He will cast out the Whole seed of Ephraim.

The houses of Dan and Ephraim seem to be torn down by the High Priest, The LORD.

These tribes be stones of the House of Jacob are removed and replaced.

The other tribes - could the Tribulation period be the time of scraping and and casting out the dust and infected stones Then a remnant the remaining tribes will escape into the Millennial Kingdom and be rebuilt into houses fit to be called HIS People.

At the end of the Kingdom a scraping and removal of stones may take place removing any who would be unable to worship The KING throughout eternity

Stones: Exodus 28 (verse 21) of the breastplate of Aaron; Joshua 4 - 12 stones carried frim the Jordan river and 12 stones left in the Jordan rive as a testimony to the LORD;

Matthew 3:9 And think not to say within yourselves, We have Abraham to our father: for I say unto you, that God is able of these stones to raise up children unto Abraham.

1Peter 2:5 Ye also, as lively stones, are built up a spiritual house, an holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices, acceptable to God by Jesus Christ - [Christians]

What about the house of David - and tribe of Judah  - the houses uninfested ? 

Zechariah 12:7 The LORD also shall save the tents of Judah first, that the glory of the house of David and the glory of the inhabitants of Jerusalem do not magnify themselves against Judah.

2Chronicles 13:2Sa 7:8-16

Only God can remove leprosy of sin from anyone. The history of the Jews and their future is the scraping and removal of the dust and infected stones by Their LORD, The Lord God Almighty, the maker and redeemer of Israel. The nation of Israel will be a nation of redeemed Jews purified and able to lead the world in worship of the Lord Jesus Christ throughout eternity.

I challenge you  - keeping in mind that the center of world history has always been the ultimate redemption of the Jews by the Lord Jesus Christ, their maker and redeemer - to try to look at world history and current events the same as the rest of the world does.
