Eph 2:13-17 Through this gospel of grace God breaks down the wall of partition between Himself and all who are in Christ.

Note: Eph 2:17

Them that were afar off: the: Gentiles

Them that are nign: the Jews

·       The gospel of grace also breaks down the division between Jews and the Gentiles who are in Christ

How hard it must have been for the Jews to accept the fact that The LORD God Almighty, the Maker and Redeemer of Israel would declare that the “unclean” Gentiles (Heathen) are their fellowheirs of the unsearchable riches in Christ.

It had to be equally hard for the Gentiles to except the same concept concerning the Jews. In chapters 9-11 of Romans Paul is writing directly to Christian Gentiles in Rome concerning the Jews. The belief within the early churches that God was done with the Jews was had to be stopped.

Rom 11:25 For I would not, brethren, that ye should be ignorant of this mystery, lest ye should be wise in your own conceits; that blindness in part is happened to Israel, until the fulness of the Gentiles be come in.

·       The Christian Gentiles should not think to highly of themselves as being above the Jews of the nation of Israelof them selves to

·       Ro 10:1, 11:1 Christian Gentiles should thank Israel that the gospel of God’s grace has come so freely to them.

Ø    So some of the Jews might be saved

2Pet 3:15-16 some things Paul wrote about were hard to be understood

·       Those who unlearned and unstable wrest or pervert the teaching of Paul and other scriptures unto their own destruction

·       Could it be they fought the concept of Christ as their savior, they could not accept the Gentiles could be equal to hem in Christ

2Peter 3:16 Peter’s epistles were written to Christian Jews who were scattered. Peter was concerned that the wicked would cause them to doubt what they had been taught believed and be dragged back under the yoke of the law.

·       2Cor 11:3 But I fear, lest by any means, as the serpent beguiled Eve through his subtilty, so your minds should be corrupted from the simplicity that is in Christ
