The Nature Of Man

Ps 8:3-8 God created man to have dominion over the works of His hands. Biblical Christianity places the value on human life far above that above that of all the animals God created.

·       1Cor 15:39 with Heb 11:3

·       The lie of evolution distorts the relationship between God  and His creation and it distorts the relationship between mankind and nature.

·       The value of man: God sent His only begotten Son to suffer and die upon the cross so we could be saved.

It is impossible to express the true nature of God in words. The nature of man is easy to express, the opposite of what God is.

Man is both physical and spiritual

·       We are born physically alive waiting for the time our body will die. We are born spiritually dead to God or spiritually separated for God.

The value of man is not the nature of man

Gen 6:5 and Gen 8:21 And GOD saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually. for the imagination of man's heart is evil from his youth; Jer 17:9

·       The flood did not change the heart of man.

·       Adam never had a time of youth. His heart was not created evil. Adam corrupted his own heart which led to sin entering into the world. Satan did not make Adam sin, he did not even tempt Adam

Mt 15:18-19 But those things which proceed out of the mouth come forth from the heart; and they defile the man. (19) For out of the heart proceed evil thoughts, murders, adulteries, fornications, thefts, false witness, blasphemies:

·       De 29:19 And it come to pass, when he heareth the words of this curse, that he bless himself in his heart, saying, I shall have peace, though I walk in the imagination of mine heart, to add drunkenness to thirst:

·       The heart within us does more than pump blood, it is pumps our wickedness.

Rom 1:18-32 The natural man holds the truth of God in unrighteousness

·       V21 but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened. This began with Adam. Has there been any person closer to the creation than Adam? Who has had a better knowledge of creation than Adam?

·       Rom 1:25 Today, does the world show more interest in the creator of His creation?

Ps 51:5 (Behold, I was shapen in iniquity; and in sin did my mother conceive me) applies every person born after Adam except Jesus Christ who had no earthly father.

·       This is not speaking of the husband and wife relationship. David knew, as all of us know, that from the moment of conception we are all evil. We are conceived with a dark, foolish heart and born under the curse of death both physical and spiritual.

·       Eph 2:3 by nature the children of wrath

·       Ps 58:3 The wicked are estranged from the womb: they go astray as soon as they be born, speaking lies.

Mans’ nature from the time of conception: a dark, foolish heart that leads to evil thoughts and imaginations and evil actions.

If we stop here what hope is there? BUT!!!

1Pe 3:18 ¶ For Christ also hath once suffered for sins, the just for the unjust, that he might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh, but quickened by the Spirit:

John 3:16

Gal 1:3-4 . . . our Lord Jesus Christ, Who gave himself for our sins, that he might deliver us from this present evil world, according to the will of God and our Father:

Eph 2:1-3 And you hath he quickened .  .  .

The value of man is not determined by the nature of man. God determined the value of man in spite of the nature of man
